Attendance: Robin Soffer, Janet Hanley, Barb Nelson, Tee Moran, Lisa Moss, Teri Dixon,Kimberly Werner, Michelle Newman, Don Vogel, Allison Nelson
1. School Improvement Plan - Teri DixonTeri talked about her work on the School Improvement Committee. She said that the committee said that we should expect high levels of achievement from students in all course levels. Having effective teachers is also important. The committee feels that the school should work on professional staff development. For example, getting the more engaging teachers to mentor other teachers would be helpful. The committee would also like teachers be able to differentiate in the classroom. The committee is working hard to align with K-8 curriculum. Teri also talked about the importance of making the school more comfortable for parents and for kids. We discussed how we as a parent group could become more effective in getting parents more involved. Don suggested setting up parent mentors by precinct.
2. February minutes approved
3. Treasurer – Janet Hanley
We expect to raise about $10,000-$12,000 from the PTO benefit.
